Back in 2006, I fell in love with telling stories and creative writing. I told my Dad I wanted to be an author, and he said, “You’ll starve.” (haha) He wanted me to find an alternative career to help finance my dream, so I decided I would write professionally as well as creatively!

I attended Baylor University for a degree in Professional Writing, gained experience in marketing and communications, technical, business, and creative writing, and graduated with honors. Two months later, my career in the professional space kicked off.

The last twelve years I have worked for various companies and industries on a wide variety of genres. Beginning as a technical writer at Halliburton, I ventured into marketing, communications, and advertising for a handful national brands, startups, and agencies. Today, I have published two books, launching my creative writing desires, and seek new growth in the brand strategy and copywriting industry. Forever growing.
I took my first book on tour, even going as far as Belfast, Northern Ireland, and published my second children’s book in 2025.

Fans and colleagues ask all the time: How do I balance being a professional and creative writing? Easy. I story write from 5am until business hours then I hit the ground running with professional work. Once the day is wrapped, I hit the gym, come home, and curl up with a good book. I love reading before bed!
