How do we get started?

Getting started is easy. Send me an email detailing your copy needs as well as three dates & times you are available. Then, we’ll set up a virtual meeting to answer your questions and make sure we’re a good fit for each other before moving forward.

 

When will my copy be ready?

 

You can trust I will communicate with you about our project every step of the way. Timelines vary for brand strategy and copywriting services. After our consultation, I’ll provide you with a custom quote.

 

What is the difference between a messaging strategy and custom copywriting?

 

A messaging strategy is your comprehensive guide for every piece of content going forward (after we part ways). The messaging strategy process includes client interviews, brand voice discovery, SEO focusing, and a custom messaging guide with your core copy and brand voice guidelines.

Once we have that foundation in place, we can move on to custom copywriting, which can include but is not limited to website, marketing, client experience (CX), copyediting and proofreading. If you only require custom copywriting and not a messaging strategy, we can do that too!

 

How do I know if you’re the right copywriter for me?

 

If you feel good about my process, services, and the work in my portfolio, chances are we’ll work well together! That said, our consultation call will give us both a chance to assess our partnership before moving forward.

 

According to my previous clients, these three pieces of my process have left them satisfied:

 

  • Research-Based: From interviewing clients to researching competitors to exploring the top keywords (SEO) in your market, everything I write is rooted in in-depth research and strategically helps you stand out to audiences.
     

  • Clear and Concise: True or false? Too many words kill consumer engagement. (Give you a hint: it's true.) I’m here to help you communicate your value to audiences in a clear and concise manner that connects with customers.
     

  • Attention to Detail: I am not going to waste your time or drag out the writing process. You’re hiring me to get a job done, and that’s what I’m going to do, and I’m going to do it right. I am going to learn as much about you as possible and craft that knowledge into a strategic wireframe which guides me to write good copy for great conversions!

 

What types of businesses do you work with?

 

I work with anyone, whether they're self-employed (creatives, artists, skilled trades) or a company/business organization. I have written for various industries on a wide variety of materials.

 

What if I don’t have clients to interview?

 

Not a problem! If you have no clients to interview, I will explore your brand by talking in-depth with you and your team, while also hunting down customer & client reviews.

I need design too. Can you help me?

 

I specialize in copywriting and messaging strategy, BUT I love collaborating with brand and web designers. I maintain a shortlist of trusted professionals that can help bring your brand to life.

 

Are you available for contract or hire?

 

Yes, I am available for contract hire as well as part- or full-time employment. If you have a position open for a content builder, copywriter, or technical/business/creative writer, I am interested. Feel free to email me details.
